Good to know

Overview

A heavenly retreat for two, this lovingly renovated cottage couldn’t be more perfect for a couple’s getaway – plus four-legged friends, of course. With a homely Aga in the kitchen and a cosy wood burner in the adjoining living room, intimate dinners and sofa snuggles await. If you’d prefer to give the cooking a miss, owners Debbie and Richard can offer great recommendations for dog friendly pubs or takeaway options. A private chef is also a possibility.

Tired after a long day out? Enjoy a snooze in the handmade four poster bed or a luxurious bubble bath in the cast iron roll top bath. There’s also a small child’s room, just large enough for a travel cot or z-bed, on request. Dogs must stay downstairs though, sorry, and should not be left alone at Shepherd’s Cottage.

Outside, this luxurious hideaway comes complete with an enclosed walled garden featuring a stunning roll top bath – great for a starry evening soak. The patio area is the place for morning coffees after a sunrise dog walk or for gin and tonics while watching the sun set.

You’ll be welcomed at Shepherd’s Cottage with a basket bursting with local goodies and champagne but walk over to the Honesty Shed Shop for more tempting treats and handmade gifts.
