Enjoy a unique cabin experience in the heart of the North Wales countryside yet close to the beautiful Conwy coastline. Castor is an off-grid cabin with an outdoor bath where you can disconnect from the digital world and enjoy some much needed downtime. With your best four-legged friend by your side, of course.

For dogs...

Multiple dogs are welcome at Castor for an additional charge of £35 per stay, regardless of the number. There’s no cap on how many you can bring but you may want to consider the size of the cabin and how comfortable your pooches would be.

Four-legged guests receive bowls and towels to borrow during their stay, as well as treats and poop bags.

For humans...

Look out for thoughtful touches like tea, coffee, guide books and games.

Spend time in the enclosed garden taking in the views up to Tower Hill and over the rolling hills and sheep-filled pastures.

Walk into Abergele where you’ll find pubs and cafés, and shops where you can pick up supplies for your stay.

An off-grid cabin nestled in the heart of Conwy’s countryside near Abergele, Castor offers guests and their pets the opportunity to disconnect from the digital world and instead rest and recharge in nature.

Designed to provide a unique, low-impact holiday experience in all seasons, the cabin features a cosy wood burner for winter warmth, an outdoor bath, and an inviting decked area perfect for summer relaxation and admiring the views over the Welsh countryside. 

Inside, the cabin is simple yet inviting. The compact cooking area with a small eco fridge is perfect for rustling up meals, while the king size bed with its 100% linen bedding is the ultimate backdrop for sweet dreams. Hotel-grade towels and Faith in Nature toiletries are on hand in the shower room, and there’s a selection of books, board games, and music to enjoy during your stay.

The cabin is equipped with solar panels, ensuring sustainable power for lighting and charging devices, and a small supply of kindling and logs are supplied for your first fire or two.

Parking

Castor is nestled in its own private field surrounded by woodland. Parking is situated off the main road, a 250m walk through fields to the cabin.

Special Instructions

Located on a working farm, there will occasionally be sheep in the vicinity. Please keep dogs on a lead when walking through the fields.

The Area

From Castor, it’s a 10-minute drive, or a 50-minute walk, to the small town of Abergele which has a lovely selection of traditional pubs and cosy cafés. A little further a field, the charming seaside town of Llandudno and historic market town of Conwy are both very dog friendly and are more than worthy of your attention for a day out. Alternatively, head to nearby Bodnant Garden for a scenic stroll through acres of lawns, planting, meadows and beautiful lakes.
