Overview
These picture-perfect terraced cottages sleep up to six people and two dogs in each and are as quaint as they come. Light, airy and modern; they make a great hideaway for both romantic retreats and a lovely base for families keen to explore the area with their four-legged friends.
The open plan kitchens are wonderfully equipped and spacious should you wish to cook up a storm (with amazing local produce, of course) while the livings rooms are stylish and cosy, ideal for nights in snuggling up in front of the log burner.
The main difference between the cottages is the bedroom configuration. 1 Riverside Cottage has three individually designed bedrooms. The roomy master bedroom has its own ensuite, and there is a further shared family bathroom.
2 Riverside Cottage has two bedrooms. The huge master suite has a king size bed and a set of bunk beds, as well as an ensuite making it a great family room. A second bathroom is located upstairs too.
3 Riverside Cottage is great for groups of friends as the three bedrooms can be made up as super king rooms or twins. One has an ensuite and the other two share the modern family bathroom.
The cottages are terraced with separate gardens to the front and rear. The external perimeter of the three cottages is walled, with the individual gardens separated by wooden fencing. The outdoor spaces, while not huge, are glorious sun traps with plenty of planting for your pup to sniff around. With the Peak District as your unofficial back garden, we think your furry friend will do just fine for fresh air and exercise.

The Peak District National Park is a joyful place for pups with adventure at every turn. We love the Stepping Stones at Dovedale, particularly the National Trust walk that starts at Ilam Park and ends at the River Dove. It’s a 3-mile return trip so great for a short walk with your four-legged friend. Pack a picnic to enjoy when you reach the Stepping Stones. The scenery is stunning. If beautiful gardens and stately surroundings are more your thing, head to Chatsworth. Dogs are welcome in the garden and park but must be kept on a short lead to protect the wildlife and livestock roaming the grounds.
