Visit WebsiteWelcome to Conwy Morfa beach in North Wales. Tucked away on the outskirts of the historic town of Conwy, it offers a scenic stretch of golden sands where your furry friends can freely romp and chase the waves. With stunning views of Snowdonia, it's an ideal spot for tail-wagging adventures by the sea.
Overview
Once home to a Victorian tip, Conwy Morfa beach is perhaps the last place you’d think of as a popular family day out. However, with views of Puffin Island, the Great Orme and Conwy Mountain, not to mention sand aplenty at low tide, bring your bucket and spade for a great day out. Best of all, there are no dog restrictions at this beach, and you are welcome to explore with your four legged friends all year round.
Dogs will adore playing on the beach here, while children and adults alike will love the opportunity to hunt for sea glass close to the remains of the tip. While natural objects like shells and pebbles need to be left on the beach, it’s OK to take man made things like sea glass as a souvenir of your visit. Turn right from the car park for the area with the highest density of sea glass, or turn left for the sandier, prettier part of the beach which is best for sandcastles and zoomies.
For The Dogs
Bring leads, poop bags, and water.
Opening Hours
Daylight hours are recommended but the sunsets are pretty spectacular.
Parking
Park at Morfa beach car park, LL32 8GA.
Conwy packs in a lot of history for a small town. A World Heritage Site castle, historic walls and Britain’s smallest house can all be found here, as well as a range of Medieval and Elizabethan buildings. Keen hikers will want to bag the summit of Conwy Mountain, which overlooks the town and offers fantastic views.
