Cantîn

a dog friendly hotspot in beautiful Conwy

Town Ditch Road, Conwy, North Wales, LL32 8NU

Visit Website

One of Conwy’s hidden gems, Cantîn is one of our favourite places to head for a drink or a bite to eat when visiting this historic market town with our pooches. Located within the Conwy Culture Centre, while four-legged friends aren’t allowed inside, the sheltered outdoor space is über dog friendly with plenty of room for four-legged friends to comfortably snooze at your feet while you drink or dine.

Good to know

Overview

Choose your table and then head to the Mut Hut to pick up a dog bed, a biscuit and a bowl of water for your dog. There’s blankets for human guests too.

Wondering what to order? The grilled breakfast is a firm favourite, washed down with  a smooth cappuccino. Add an extra sausage for any peckish canine companions!

There’s also plenty of choice for vegetarians and vegans, and check the specials board too – we always spot something we love.

We absolutely recommend saving space for a sweet treat as there are delicious daily bakes to choose from.

For The Dogs

Head to the Mud Hut where you’ll find dog beds, biscuits and water bowls for your pooch.

Opening Hours

Monday – Saturday: 9am – 5pm
Sunday: 10am – 4pm

Parking

Use the visitors’ car park at Bodlondeb which is free Monday to Friday – follow the path to the Culture Centre. There are also pay and display car parks in the town, the closest of which is on Mount Pleasant.

The Area

Before or after your visit to Cantîn, treat your dog to a stroll around Bodlondeb Woods. There are numerous footpaths through the woods with incredible views over the Conwy Estuary and out to sea over towards the Great Orme in nearby Llandudno. Try the 3.2k circular walk that starts from the Culture Centre. It’s not a waymarked route but you can find the details here. Home to mammals, birds and butterflies, you might want to keep keen squirrel-chasers on a lead.
