Good to know

Overview

Home to some of the tallest trees in Britain, the Hermitage is an autumn wonderland, bursting with vibrant colors that make it well worth a visit. But there’s plenty more to see here.

From the balcony of Ossian’s Hall, you can witness the powerful Black Linn Falls thundering below. If you’re lucky, you might even spot salmon leaping up the falls as they journey to their breeding grounds. Viewed from the banks of the River Braan, Ossian’s Hall itself offers a picture-perfect scene.

For an even better view, climb through the woods to the Pine Cone Point folly. Dogs will love dashing through the forest, while humans are rewarded with stunning panoramic vistas. A walk that combines incredible views, minimal effort and off-lead freedom for dogs – what more could you ask for?
