This chic lodge, with its luxurious furnishings and lovely outdoor terrace, provides a tranquil retreat for a leisurely staycation, while the bubbling hot tub is the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the glorious Somerset countryside.

For dogs...

Two four-legged friends are welcome to join you at Strawberryfield Park for a fee of £40 per pooch per stay.

The large, decked terrace has gates to keep it fully enclosed so your pup can safely sniff their way around while you soak up the sun.

There’s plenty of green space to explore with your dog in and around the park but you can also pick up the West Mendip Way a two-minute walk away.

Architect-designed with spacious open plan interiors, The Willows has been tastefully finished with high quality furnishings and state of the art equipment.

The bubbling hot tub offers a blissful experience, and the south facing decked terraced means you’ll always get the best of the weather.

Overview

Settled into the landscape beneath the extraordinarily beautiful Mendhip Hills that surround Cheddar Gorge, The Willows offers both tranquillity and luxury in equal measure. 

With an interior that’s as comfy as it is good-looking, this lodge has two gorgeous ensuite bedrooms – one double and one that can be configured as a king or a twin – as well as an airy open plan living area. Fully kitted out with mod cons and home comforts, you can cook, eat and relax to your hearts’ content. 

Large glass sliding doors flow from the inside out, where an enclosed wraparound decked terrace is perfect for days spent basking in the fresh air with a good book while your four-legged friend puts their paws up. The bubbling hot tub is bliss personified especially when enjoyed at twilight when the stars start to make an appearance.

Home to a small collection of contemporary eco-lodges, Strawberryfield Park blends into the encompassing countryside effortlessly. The private orchard is a wonderful place to enjoy a shady picnic and the onsite Cider Barn is ideal for a supper created with locally sourced produce.

Two dogs are invited to join you at Strawberryfield Park. Please bring all your own doggy equipment – bed, bowls, blankets and toys – with you.

The Area

Should you wish to leave the idyllic surroundings of Strawberryfield Park, Somerset offers a plethora of places perfect for incredible dog friendly adventures. The nearby Mendip Hills has over 440 km of Public Rights of Way to explore and you can pick up the West Mendip Way a two-minute walk away from The Willows. Alternatively, Wells’ restaurants and boutiques are a short drive away and pooches are welcome to visit the beautiful cathedral with you (ground floor only) if they are kept on a lead.

Glastonbury Tor

This iconic landmark offers magnificent views of the Somerset Levels, Dorset, Wiltshire and Wales. Steeped in history, excavations at the top of the Tor have revealed the plans of two superimposed churches, of which only a 15th century tower remains.
