Visit WebsiteIf you’re out and about in rural Cheshire with your best canine companion, a pit stop at the The Pheasant Inn is a must. Combining delicious, dog friendly dining with panoramic views across the county (and North Wales), it’s a dog lovers dream destination.
Overview
Whether you choose to relax on the picturesque terrace or take a seat in one of the cosy dining areas or near the bar, we guarantee that your four-legged friend will receive a wonderfully warm welcome – and dog treats!
When it comes to the menu, the handcrafted steak pie is not to be missed. But save room for a pudding as the Knickerbocker Glories are heavenly. The bar is well stocked with a vast selection of gins and the impressive wine cellar features bottles from the old and new worlds alike.
It might be worth mentioning that The Pheasant Inn also offers dog friendly accommodation should you wish to stay the night. Choose from one of the beautiful rooms at the inn or nearby Pennsylvania Cottage. There’s even comfy dog beds for furry friends.
Whether you’re in the mood for a quick drink, a leisurely lunch, a cosy evening meal or even a night time retreat, we think both you and your dog will love The Pheasant Inn as much as we do.

The Pheasant Inn is located midway along Cheshire’s 34 mile Sandstone Trail; one of the most popular middle distance trails in the North West. You might not want to tackle the full length with your pup but the five mile Tarporley to Burwardsley section meanders very close to the pub. It’s a real gem of a walk with lots to see (and sniff).
