Overview

A little gem nestled in the heart of Richmond, head to The Little Drummer Boy Cocina to indulge in an array of freshly made, mouth-watering tapas dishes. Perfect for sharing with friends and family, choose two to three different dishes per person so you can sample as many delicious morsels as possible. The charcuterie boards are a fantastic option if you’re not sure what to opt for.

If you pay a visit early afternoon, toasties, sandwiches and salads, combining the best of North Yorkshire and Mediterranean flavours, are on the menu too. As well as lovely options for children. There’s also a well-stocked bar, whether your preference is for wine, larger or even something a touch stronger.

Dogs can join you on the ground floor of the restaurant, and staff welcome pooches with open arms and a biscuit or two. If you’re in the area and looking for more of a lite bite or a coffee and a sweet treat, just around the corner, you’ll find The Little Drummer Boy Tea Room where the cakes and homemade scones are simply divine.

The Area

There are plenty of walks to enjoy in and around Richmond. We recommend exploring the riverside paths and waterfalls. And on a nice day, your pooch can have a dip in the river. Alternatively, head to Richmond Castle and take in spectacular views of the Yorkshire Dales. The castle was originally built to subdue the unruly North of England and is one of the greatest Norman fortresses in Britain. Dogs on leads are very welcome.
