With room for four, this newly renovated retreat is perfect for a small family or a group of friends, but with cosy interiors and a decadent hot tub, it makes for the ultimate romantic retreat too.

For dogs...

Two dogs are welcome at The Knoll for an additional charge of £50 per dog per stay.

Four-legged guests receive their very own welcome hamper featuring bowls, treats, shampoo, towels, and poop bags.

There are throws to pop on the sofa and chairs if your pup prefers to snuggle up next to you.

For humans...

Look out for thoughtful touches like wellies, umbrellas and guide books for you to use during your stay.

Spend time in the hot tub taking in the views over the rolling hills and sheep-filled pastures.

Welcome to The Knoll, a charming cottage nestled in the scenic village of Rosedale Abbey, North Yorkshire. A wonderful choice for a tranquil getaway, this dog friendly retreat offers the perfect blend of luxury and adventure in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a wonderfully cosy ambiance with a log burning fire, luxurious furnishings and thoughtful design details. Recently renovated, The Knoll boasts a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living room, two beautiful double bedrooms, and a stylish bathroom with a lavish copper bath and Elemis toiletries. A welcome hamper awaits for both human and four-legged guests!

During your stay entertainment options include a smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, and the stunning valley views from the kitchen window. Outside, relax in the sunken hot tub or enjoy al fresco dining on the upper patio while admiring the picturesque countryside. The garden is fully enclosed so your four-legged friend can safely explore while you switch off.

The Area

Nestled in the picturesque North Yorkshire Moors, Rosedale Abbey is surrounded by rolling hills and dense forests (Dalby Forest is one of our favourites), making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts with dog walking opportunities aplenty. The village itself boasts quaint cottages, the ruins of an historic abbey (well, the ruins of a priory, in truth), and traditional pubs serving hearty Yorkshire fare. Nearby attractions include the North York Moors Railway, offering scenic steam train rides, and the breathtaking views from Blakey Ridge. A drive into pretty town of Pickering is also a must.
