A short drive from the beach, this beautiful stone barn conversion is tucked away within the farmlands surrounding Watergate Bay in North Cornwall. Sleeping four guests, The Hayloft has been designed to perfectly compliment the landscape, with the traditional stone exterior giving way to a sleek and contemporary internal space.

For dogs...

The open plan living space is perfect for pups who like to be part of the pack, while the lovely log burner offers a prime snoozing spot when weary paws need a little bit of a rest.

There’s a large, enclosed courtyard area for canine companions to safely roam free while you soak up the sun or put your feet up with a good book.

Sandy strolls are a must in this part of the world, but luckily there’s an outside shower for cleaning beach-soaked fur when you return.

For humans...

While Cornwall is known for its amazing restaurants, cooking in The Hayloft’s kitchen is far from a chore. Beautifully designed and fully equipped, pick up some tasty treats while you’re out and about and enjoy a cosy dinner at home.

For those of you who love a slow start to the day, admiring the far-reaching views from the glazed Juliet balcony in the living room, cup of tea or coffee in hand, is a blissful experience.

If catching waves is your thing, there’s a covered space designed especially for the storage of surfboards and beach gear.

Overview

One for the beach lovers who prefer their accommodation high-end to built-on-the-sand. We know you’re going to fall head over paws for The Hayloft, especially its stunning double-height, open plan layout. The exposed timber trusses, chic wooden flooring, white walls and large glass doors, all combine to make the hub of this gorgeous home light, airy and incredibly welcoming.

The living area, with its bespoke log burner and a large, comfy sofa, is the perfect place to catch up on the day’s activities or curl up with a good book, while the well-designed kitchen with adjacent dining table is a truly sociable space for cooking and sharing meals.

On warmer evenings, you’ll want to dine outdoors on the sun-soaked terrace. Barbecuing and entertaining within the tranquil atmosphere of the surrounding countryside is a must.

Downstairs on the lower ground level, you’ll find The Hayloft’s two double bedrooms, as well as a modern family shower room. Both bedrooms have been designed and furnished to create a quiet refuge, with built-in cupboards providing ample storage space, and a TV in the master bedroom.

Situated on a working farm, The Hayloft also offers guests the opportunity to explore the grounds and even meet some of the animals.

For The Dogs

Up to two dogs are invited to join you at The Hayloft. Please bring all your own doggy equipment – bed, bowls, blankets and toys – with you.

Price

From £430 for a three-night stay, plus £40 per pooch per stay for up to two accompanying dogs.

The Area

Famous for its two-mile stretch of golden sand, Watergate Bay can be found on Cornwall’s north coast, just three miles from the buzzing town of Newquay. Cornwall is home to some of the most sensational seascapes and happily, you can share so many of them with your dog.
