Overview
Russet Hut is a shepherd’s hut set on a quiet fruit farm in Charsfield, East Suffolk, reached via a short woodland walk and a small bridge. It sits beside a large pond with open views across the valley, giving it a genuine sense of seclusion that’s rare even among rural properties. It sleeps two adults and is designed for couples looking for a calm, comfortable countryside stay.
Inside, the hut is thoughtfully equipped without being overdone. A double bed with quality linen, a woodburning stove with logs and kindling included, a dual induction hob with pots and pans, a fridge, small freezer and everything you need for a stress-free self-catering stay. Bed linen, bath and hand towels and toiletries are included too. There’s a shower room within the hut, along with books and games for slower evenings.
Outside, the clawfoot bath sits close to the pond for soaking in the surroundings at any time of day. The fire pit comes with a grill and skillet for outdoor cooking, and firewood is stored at the hut with back up logs in the store.
