Two dogs per room are welcome to join you at Polurrian on the Lizard for a fee of £20 per pooch per stay.

Dogs stay for free if you book a special Paws Break and you’ll find bowls, blankets and treats waiting for your furry friend when you arrive.

Dog friendly dining is available in the Vista Lounge overlooking the waves.

Don’t leave without enjoying a dip in the outdoor hot tub at sunset.

A real highlight of the hotel is the twelve acres of mature gardens to explore. The South West Coast Path runs along the bottom of the hotel’s garden and leads to Polurrian Cove.

Overview

Believing that holidays aren’t complete without your much-loved pets, the hotel welcomes well behaved dogs to stay with their owners; either in the main accommodation or in four of the six luxurious self-catering villas located within the grounds.

Whether you prefer a boutique double, a sea view or a spacious family room, there’s the perfect choice for everyone. Many have king size zip-link beds, as well as plenty of space for extra singles and cots if you’re travelling with little ones.

Should you prefer a little more space, the Lizard holiday villas offer a self-catering option. As well as being beautifully decorated, each villa has its own sheltered garden with a table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining and enjoying Cornish sunsets. As a Polurrian on the Lizard guest, you’ll still have full access to all the hotel’s facilities.

Four-legged friends aren’t allowed in the main restaurant but they can join you while you dine in the Vista Lounge overlooking the waves. It’s one of our favourite spots.

If your pooch is tired out from exploring the extensive grounds, we recommend leaving them to snooze for a little bit while you enjoy the swimming pools – both indoor and out – and hot tub. Or, a game of tennis, if you’re feeling active.

A real highlight of the hotel is the twelve acres of mature gardens to explore. The South West Coast Path runs along the bottom of the hotel’s garden and leads to Polurrian Cove, a stunning sandy beach just ten minutes’ walk from the hotel. A seasonal dog ban is in place during July and August between the hours of 10am and 6pm but there’s still time to enjoy a sunrise and sunset walk.

There’s an additional charge of £20 per dog per night but if you book a special Paws Break, dogs stay for free and you’ll even find bowls, blankets and treats ready for your best furry friend in your room when you arrive.

The Area

As the hotel is situated on the South West Coast Path, there’s a variety of walks right on the doorstep but if you want to explore the wider area, you’re really spoilt for choice. You’ll find the National Trust’s Penrose within walking distance. It features woodland tracks, stretches of coastline and open parkland, perfect for a dog friendly day out. Try the six-mile circular walk that takes you around Loe Pool, Cornwall’s largest natural lake and home to a variety of wildlife. Kynance Cove is a short walk away from the hotel in the opposite direction. Famous for its white sand, turquoise sea and rock stacks, it gets very busy during the summer.
