The kitchen is a dream for keen cooks, fully equipped with everything you need for hearty breakfasts, lazy lunches and celebratory feasts. Meals are best served in the galleried dining room, where big gatherings feel extra special under the beamed ceiling.
Seven generous ensuite bedrooms are spread out across the barn, each one designed with comfort in mind – no drawing straws needed here. Sink into crisp linens and deep mattresses after a day of exploring, with the peaceful countryside outside your window for company.
For those with energy to burn, the games room is a firm favourite. Table tennis tournaments, table football battles, or a relaxed PS4 session on the projector … it’s the ultimate rainy day retreat, complete with underfloor heating to keep toes and tails warm.
Outside, the private courtyard garden is just the spot for al fresco breakfasts, afternoons soaking up the fresh air or evening BBQs. And if you can tear yourself away, the charms of Appleton-le-Moors, including the friendly village pub, are just a short stroll away.

Stroll straight from the door onto scenic footpaths, or head a little further to the dramatic valleys and ancient woodlands of the National Park. For seaside adventures, the dog friendly beaches of the Yorkshire coast – like Runswick Bay and Robin Hood’s Bay – are less than an hour’s drive away. If you’re feeling adventurous, tackle a stretch of the famous Cleveland Way for breathtaking views across moorland and sea.
