Whether soaking up the sun, exploring the dunes, or paddling in the surf, you'll have the best.
Overview
Of all the beautiful Cornish beaches, Hayle Towans stands out as one of the best. At low tide, this stunning sandy beach stretches for over three miles, connecting with the nearby beaches of Gwithian and Godrevy to create vast open spaces perfect for endless zoomies.
Easily accessible from the bustling town of Hayle, it’s a favourite spot for dog walkers, kite surfers and families alike. That’s not to say it feels crowded – even when it’s not linked to the neighbouring beaches, there’s still plenty of room for everyone. Compared to other nearby beaches, Hayle Towans is an underrated gem hiding in plain sight.
There is a seasonal dog ban between 10am and 6pm during July and August, but even in peak season, you can still enjoy this beautiful beach with your dog by visiting early in the morning or later in the evening. With wide-open sands for sprinting and sparkling waves for splashing, it’s the kind of beach you’ll find yourself returning to again and again.

West Cornwall is where Cornwall’s iconic coastline meets its rich industrial heritage. Secluded coves, framed by the remnants of crumbling chimneys, create a dramatic and untamed landscape, with the powerful waves of the Atlantic crashing against the rugged shore. This area boasts some of the finest sections of the South West Coast Path, along with an array of stunning beaches that your dog will absolutely love exploring.
