Overview

Nestled within expansive private grounds that extend to the shoreline of Loch Fyne, Crispie Lodge offers an idyllic retreat where you can truly relax and switch off surrounded by nature. Glorious sunrises and breath-taking views are guaranteed.

The ground floor features a large, well-equipped kitchen, and a bright dining room with coastal views, perfect for laughter-filled family meals.

The spacious sitting room, complete with a wood-burning stove, extends to timber decking ideal for outdoor dining, while a conservatory houses a hot tub overlooking the loch below.

There are four beautiful ensuite bedrooms to choose from, one on the ground floor and three located upstairs. The master bedroom is a really special room with its double doors leading out onto a wooden balcony. It offers one of the best views on the west coast of Scotland. Sip your morning coffee, watch the local wildlife and exhale.

The lodge is set in large private grounds which lead down to the shore, where you can enjoy a BBQ on the beach or a driftwood fire with just the seals and seabirds for company.

If someone in your party has an RYA Powerboat Level Two qualification, why not plan a trip out in the estate’s motorboat, weather permitting? It’s moored at the private pier and is available free of charge for guests to use. Head over to the pretty fishing port of Tarbert. It’s within easy reach of Crispie House.

The Area

Located on Argyll’s Secret Coast, there are many signposted walks that you can enjoy with your four-legged friend. The Cowal Way starts at Portavadie, two bays down from Crispie, and finishes on the shores of beautiful Loch Lomond. Pack a picnic and some doggy treats and amble to your heart’s content. You obviously don’t have to walk all the way (it’s 57 miles in total) but the spectacular scenery and views over Loch Fyne are hard to resist.
