Lynn Road, Congham, Norfolk, PE32 1AH
Visit WebsiteA privately owned hotel set in 50 acres of parkland, Congham Hall Hotel is the ultimate dog friendly country retreat perfect for experiencing the very best of North Norfolk. Built in the 1780s, the whitewashed Georgian merchant’s house-turned-hotel has been given a thoroughly modern makeover. It seamlessly blends elegance and luxury with modern amenities and a focus on traditional hospitality.
Two dogs per room are welcome to join you at Congham Hall Hotel for a fee of £10 per dog per night.
All four-legged guests receive bowls, a tasty treat and a blanket, but please bring your own bed with you.
The dog friendly bedrooms are all located around the spa garden and have their own patio and terrace furniture.
If you simply want to switch off and relax, the hotel’s 50 acres mean you can still enjoy a lovely walk with your pooch.
Take it in turns to head to the spa and enjoy a swim in the pool or a dip in the outdoor hot tub.
If you’re feeling competitive, there’s also a tennis court, a putting green and a croquet lawn.
Overview
You’re in dog-loving company at this secluded hotel. The welcomes are warm and the service impeccable … both for humans and their four-legged friends.
The dog friendly rooms border the gardens and are slightly more contemporary in style than the rooms in the main house. Your dog will love them as they’re wonderfully quiet and have French doors that open out on to a private patio with gorgeous views. With incredibly comfy beds, freestanding baths and waterfall showers, you’ll be wowed. Not to mention the homemade cookies on arrival.
In the main house, there’s a sitting room and a library area where you can sit and read or simply relax and watch the world go by. The bar is the place to be for pre-dinner drinks and while the 2 AA rosette-awarded restaurant is a dog-free zone, the hotel offers the same menu in the library or alternatively, out on the terrace if the weather is nice.
The Secret Garden Spa at Congham Hall Hotel offers a whole range of treatments that incorporate seasonal herbs and fresh blossoming flowers from the gardens. There’s a stunning indoor pool with floor to ceiling windows, a thermal suite and an outdoor hot tub, too.
The 50 acres of private parkland make for a wonderful dog walk in every season, but we particularly love the gardens in April and May when the wisteria and the apple blossom make an appearance.
