Set in a quiet corner of a working farm on the outskirts of Wells, this gorgeous glamping pod is the perfect combination of rural retreat and city break. Don’t let the rustic setting fool you. Beautifully designed both inside and out, this is one luxurious hideaway with creature comforts in abundance. Oh, those hot tub views!

For dogs...

With rural walks on the doorstep and the centre of Wells a five-minute stroll away, both countryside canines and city pooches are catered for at Chapterhouse.

While compact, there’s a number of cosy corners in which to pop your dog’s bed. They’ll love sleeping a sniff away from their humans.

The enclosed garden is a safe, sweet space for dogs to stretch their legs and watch the local wildlife.

For humans...

While there are three pods on the site, each feels quite secluded. Sit outside on the decking, and you’ll feel like you have the grounds to yourself.

Bring marshmallows to toast on the fire pit … if you can tear yourself away from the hot tub.

Want to level up your stay? Guests can book a hot air balloon ride starting from the field where the pod is located. Up, up and away!

Overview

With its secluded setting and sweeping outlook over private farmland, this gorgeous glamping pod offers guests a little slice of rural perfection. What makes it completely unique though, is its staggering, uninterrupted view of Wells Cathedral.

The ideal balance between countryside escapism and a city break, a stay at Chapterhouse means experiencing a truly idyllic place to unwind while also being just a short stroll away from the small city of Wells and its charming shops, pubs and markets.

With perfect proportions that feel more boutique than rustic, the pod’s interior is contemporary, spacious and airy, with creature comforts galore. There’s a kitchen, dining area, living room and bedroom in one open plan space, and a separate bathroom with a large walk-in shower complete with rain head.

French doors open on to a timber deck and secure garden where you’ll be able to unwind in complete solitude with your pooch. BBQ in the sunshine or indulgently dip in the bubbling wood-fired hot tub tucked away to the side of the lodge. You’ll love it!

For The Dogs

One dog is invited to join you at Chapterhouse. Please bring all your own doggy equipment – bed, bowls, blankets and toys – with you.

The Area

Surrounded by countryside walks, including a public bridleway right behind the pod, there’s more than enough fresh air entertainment on offer for both canines and humans alike at Chapterhouse, while Wells’ restaurants and boutiques are a mere amble from your door. Visible from the pod, pooches are welcome to visit beautiful Wells Cathedral with you (ground floor only) if they are kept on a lead. See how long it takes them to sniff out the dog biscuits in The Loft Café.
