Dogs are welcome in the bar, the dedicated dog friendly dining area, the residents’ saloon and the outdoor terraces.

To help maintain high standards, the hotel kindly asks that dogs are kept on a lead at all times in communal areas and are kept off soft furnishings, including beds and sofas.

Cary Arms is set in the sheltered haven of Babbacombe Bay, where the beach right outside the door is dog friendly all year round. The hotel provides a local walks booklet to help you discover the best nearby trails, including the spectacular South West Coast Path. For a quintessentially Devon experience, take a short stroll to the Babbacombe Model Village (also dog friendly) or ride the historic cliff railway. If you’re lucky, you might even spot Sammy, the bay’s resident seal, from the hotel’s sun terrace.
