Visit WebsiteCamusdarach beach is a breathtaking stretch of white sand and turquoise sea on Scotland’s west coast, with views across to the Isle of Skye. It’s dog friendly all year round, making it the perfect spot for a scenic walk, sandy paws and a splash in the shallows - don't forget your towel!
Overview
Prepare to meet your new favourite beach. Tucked away on Scotland’s west coast, Camusdarach is one of a series of sandy beaches between the villages of Morar and Arisaig. While all of the beaches here are beautiful, Camusdarach is downright breathtaking.
Twinkling turquoise waters and golden sand are backed by a jaw-dropping view across the sea to the islands of Rùm, Eigg and Skye. Recognised as one of Scotland’s most stunning beaches, Camusdarach does get its fair share of visitors, but its remote location (or at least, as remote as beaches can get with a car park close by) does at least keep numbers down to a reasonable level.
Camusdarach is dog friendly all year round, and dogs will love the opportunity to swim in the sea or splash in rock pools. The water here is generally pretty calm, making it great for humans and dogs alike to have a paddle. Of course, it is the Scottish Highlands, so you might need to brace yourself against the cold!

Base yourself in Fort William or Spean Bridge for easy access to most of the area, or opt for a quiet cabin on the shores of one of region’s stunning lochs to truly escape from everyday life.
