Overview
There are three dog friendly studios to choose from at Bethnal&Bec, each beautifully styled and thoughtfully equipped for a dreamy countryside escape.
The Foaling Box is the largest of the three, with a super king bed, generous kitchen and living space, and a luxury bathroom with both a walk-in shower and antique roll top bath. Nearly all the furniture has been reclaimed and lovingly restored, giving the space a unique, eco-conscious feel. There’s underfloor heating, mood lighting, WiFi, a bedroom projector screen, and a fully stocked pantry and drinks cabinet (operated via an honesty iPad). Outside, you’ll find a fenced garden with a Whirlpool bath, double daybed, and hot outdoor dog shower and boot wash.
Bethnal features a roll top bath at the foot of the bed, perfect for long soaks with countryside views through the sweet post-box windows. Or settle in with a film: the 43-inch smart TV with Netflix and BBC iPlayer is perfectly positioned for tub-side watching. With a wood burner, honesty bar and cosy styling throughout, it’s ideal for nights in.
Bec is slightly more compact but just as indulgent, with an open plan layout that keeps your pup close by. Enjoy a bath for two with Aromatherapy Associates products, or settle into bed and enjoy the ceiling-mounted projector screen for movie nights.
Each retreat includes a smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, vintage record player with eclectic vinyl and a DVD library. Kitchens are sleek and well-equipped, ideal for breakfast in bed using your personalised hamper, or a cosy night in with the dine-in menu (think DIY pizzas, Angus steaks and gourmet burgers).
Outside, all three retreats offer private, dog friendly fenced gardens with a hot tub or Whirlpool bath, fire pit and double daybed overlooking a wildflower meadow. Whether you’re soaking, stargazing, or just switching off, this is luxury countryside living at its finest, dogs very much included.

Surrounded by the rolling Hertfordshire countryside, there’s no shortage of walks and days out for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy while staying at Bethnal&Bec. The Hertfordshire Walker features walks suitable for all levels, from hour-long ambles to half-day hikes. Try the six mile Cottered S Loop. We’d also recommend a visit to Knebworth House, a lavish Tudor stately home and gardens. While dogs are not permitted in the house itself or the formal gardens, dogs on leads are welcome in beautiful Knebworth Park, home to Dogfest. Why not pack a picnic and make a day of it? You’re even allowed to bring disposable BBQs with you.
