Good to know

Overview

Sleeping eight people and welcoming three furry friends, Bar-K is the perfect size for a family holiday or a friends get-together. Whoever you choose to travel with, the open plan design, thoughtful décor and cosy touches at every turn are guaranteed to make you feel at home from the moment you walk through the door.

At the end of a long day exploring the region, the large living room with its super comfortable velvet sofas is the place to be. Light the log burner – a prime snoozing spot for tired dogs to curl up and rest their weary paws – and put your feet up in front of the TV (it has the full Sky HD package including movies and sports).

The chef/s of the group will love the sleek kitchen. It has everything needed to cook up a storm. The large wooden table in the neighbouring dining room comfortably seats ten, but during the summer months, we highly recommend sliding open the patio doors and dining al fresco on the festoon-lit terrace with its outside speaker so you can play your favourite tunes.

Upstairs, there are four individually-decorated bedrooms featuring cloud-like beds with Dusk mattresses and Egyptian cotton linen as well as plentiful storage and internet-enabled TVs. Two of the bedrooms have contemporary ensuites and there are a further two shared bathrooms at Bar-K.

Nestled in the eaves, accessed via the fourth bedroom, is the cinema room. With a 65″ TV, Dolby surround sound, a PS5 with hundreds of games and comfy seating, it’s a child’s dream – and a grown up’s too! The competitive amongst your party may prefer to make use of the fun games room with its slate-bed pool table and table football.

Outside, the large garden is completely enclosed and secure for your dogs to explore. You can enjoy a coffee on the decking, a dip in the heavenly 7-seater hot tub or even a detox in the outdoor sauna without worrying what they’re getting up to.

For The Dogs

There are outdoor taps and even a dog shower in the utility room to hose down your pooch with warm water after a countryside walk or trip to the beach.
