Overview

A laid back hotel on the shores of Ullswater in the Lake District, Another Place is the perfect hotel for spending time with your favourite people and immersing yourself in the great outdoors. Explore the wilderness, swim beneath a full moon, paddleboard across the lake, eat and drink well … basically, relax, let go and have a great time.

There are a number of different rooms to choose from. The 18th century building and the new contemporary wing house 40 bedrooms between them, many of which are dog friendly. However, if you’d prefer to stay even closer to the shore, there are six stunning shepherd huts and a secluded treehouse located within the grounds. They offer a lovely balance between enjoying full access to the hotel whilst still having the privacy of your own dog friendly bolthole to escape to.

When it comes to dog friendly dining, canine companions are welcome in The Living Space. The food is simple, seasonal and delicious – and the gin selection is vast. Eat, drink and unwind on the comfy sofas at the end of the day. Alternatively, head to the Glasshouse and order a wood-fired pizza to enjoy on the terrace or by the water’s edge.

Don’t forget to pack your swimming costume or swimming shorts in preparation for a dip in the stunning indoor pool or the outdoor hot tubs with their incredible views of the surrounding landscape. If you’re in need of a little bit of pampering, we highly recommend heading to the Swim Club for a heavenly massage.
