Tucked away down a quiet country lane, Afon Menai is a thoughtfully renovated former farm building turned perfect hideaway for four. Nestled within the grounds of Tyddyn Adda, a small collection of holiday homes, this sweet cottage has the best of both countryside and coast on the doorstep. It's a great base from which to explore Anglesey and nearby Eryri National Park.

For dogs...

Afon Menai welcomes two dogs for an additional fee of £20 per pooch per stay.

Bowls and treats will be waiting for four-legged friends and the secure garden provides a safe space for them to sniff around and stretch their legs.

For humans...

This cosy retreat is perfect for small families or couples wanting an escape by the coast but with rural walks aplenty.

Overview

Inside, Afon Menai is a real home-from-home. The farmhouse-style kitchen is equipped with everything you need to rustle up hearty breakfasts or delicious family meals in the evenings. Lay the dining table or instead, open the patio doors that lead onto the garden and dine al fresco on the terrace while soaking up the last of the sun’s rays.

The living area is roomy enough for everyone to find a space to relax, whether that’s to curl up with a book, watch a favourite show on the smart TV, play a board game or simply enjoy the views.

Both bedrooms are on the ground floor. The main bedroom is super inviting with its king size bed, soft luxury linen and ensuite shower room, while the twin bedroom has two full-size single beds comfy enough for both children and adults to stretch out. An additional wet room has a large, accessible shower.

To the back of Afon Menai, you’ll find a lovely outdoor space. Weather permitting, sit outside with your morning coffee or enjoy an evening tipple while your canine companion sniffs their way around the garden. There’s a BBQ and table and chairs for outdoor dining, but the real treat is the decadent hot tub. Don’t forget your swimsuit!
