Adhara is a secluded off-grid cabin hidden within a clearing of Cheshire woodland, just minutes from Delamere Forest. It's the kind of place that makes you wonder why you don't do this more often. Perfect for couples who refuse to leave their dogs behind, with Beeston Castle and the Sandstone Trail all within easy reach. Pubs and local adventures are within walking distance too, so you've got the best of both worlds.
The flat £35 pet fee covers your whole pack, which is genuinely rare and a brilliant deal for multi-dog households.
The cabin sits within an enclosed, fenced field surrounded by trees. Dogs can roam freely and you can relax, safe in the knowledge they’re not going anywhere.
Your dogs are welcome everywhere at Adhara. Yes, even on the bed. And a thoughtful canine welcome hamper will be waiting on arrival. It’s the kind of detail that tells you the people behind Shacks actually get it.
After a day in Delamere Forest, muddy paws are practically guaranteed. The dog wash station at the cabin means you can sort that out before anyone sets foot inside.
The cabin is off-grid but far from uncomfortable. A woodburner, king size double bed dressed in Piglet in Bed bedding and your own private outdoor bath make for a seriously cosy base for two.
Soak in the outdoor bath as the stars come out and you’ll understand immediately why people come back. Guests can also add an outdoor sauna and cold plunge experience through Shacks’ partnership with Coald Club, at an exclusive 25% discount.
For food and drink, you’re spoilt for choice. The Yew Tree Inn at Bunbury is a 45-minute stroll through country lanes for those who fancy earning their pint. The Fishpool Inn at Delamere is worth the short drive, with a dedicated dog menu and treats on the bar.

Adhara is a one-bedroom off-grid cabin tucked into a clearing of Cheshire woodland near Tarporley, about 150 metres from the farm track. It sleeps two adults and is designed for people who genuinely want to step away from the noise for a few days.
Inside, you’ll find a king size double bed, a woodburner, a kitchen with hob and fridge and a good selection of board games and books for when the weather rolls in. Provisions include Dark Arts coffee beans with a grinder, loose leaf tea, olive oil, salt and pepper. Faith in Nature toiletries and luxury towels are provided, too.
Outside, the enclosed fenced field gives dogs the freedom to explore while you get settled. Your own private outdoor bath is waiting, and if you time it right and soak under a sky full of stars, you’ll understand why people come back again and again.
Firewood is included (one bag of logs, one bag of kindling), with unlimited firewood available for an additional £20 if you’re planning to make full use of the fire pit.
