Overview

Located on the outskirts of Chester, Ginger Monkey 31 is a super welcoming spot to head to for a relaxing cuppa or a bite to eat with your four-legged companion. The cosy window seats are perfect for people and pup-watching while the larger tables are ideal if you’re meeting friends or need a little more space to plug in your laptop and catch up on emails while you sip.

The coffee, roasted in-house, is exceptional and there’s also a selection of teas and hot chocolates. Supporting local suppliers is a priority, with fresh produce sourced from Hoole Food Market, milk from Peckforton Dairy and bread from Henllan Bakery in North Wales.

Catering to diverse dietary needs, Ginger Monkey 31 has menu choices to suit everyone, with a range of vegan and vegetarian options, as well as a Little Folk menu. There are treats and puppuccinos for furry companions.

Outdoors, the Ginger Monkey courtyard beckons. The painted picnic tables offer a sunny spot to sit with a book while your four-legged friend snoozes at your feet. Bliss!

For The Dogs

There are water bowls, doggy treats and puppuccinos available for four-legged guests.

The Area

Ginger Monkey 31 is a hop and a skip from the Shropshire Union Canal. For a lovely waterside dog walk, follow the towpath into nearby Christleton and back. Alternatively, while you’re in Chester, why not amble along the City Walls with your four-legged? Chester is the only city in Britain to retain the full circuit of its defensive walls, parts of which are almost 2,000 years old.
